BOW (aka NYMET TRACEY) - 1841 CENSUS - PART 1

NOTES:

This is a transcript of the 1841 Census Return for Enumeration District No.1 in the Registrar's District of Bow and the Superintendent's District of Crediton, for part of the Parish of Bow in the Hundred of North Tawton.

It covers the North and East part of the Parish of Bow comprising Appledon, Grattons, Colliton, Halse and the whole of the town.

The Census of 1841 relates to the night of 7 June 1841.

The column headed H* shows separate households. Within a single dwelling there would have been several households.

N.B. Transcriptions should always be checked at source. Microfiches of the original 1841 census returns for Devon can be found in the West Country Studies Library in Exeter.
