D?JX 166573 Ordinary Seaman Dennis Edwards Andrewes of the Royal Navy, HMS Repulse. Son of Eric and Doris Andrewes of Brixham; brother of Michael (see below). Born in Brixham in the September Quarter of 1923. Died 10 December 1941 aged 18 when his ship was lost.

D/JX 304338 Ordinary Seaman Michael John Andrewes of the Royal Navy, HMS Meteor. Son of Eric and Doris Andrewes of Brixham; brother of Dennis (see above).  Born in Brixham in the June Quarter of 1925. Died 19 February 1943 aged 18 when he was lost overboard.

D/SSX 27992 Leading Seaman Maurice Arthur Bedford of the Royal Navy, HM Submarine Simoom. Son of Charles and Elizabeth Ann of Brixham. Born in Brixham in the June Quarter of 1919. Died 19 November 1943 of illness, aged 24.
P.BEVAN
Chief Skipper Percy Bevan of the Royal Naval Reserve, SS Europa. Son of William Bevan; husband of Olive Bevan. Born in Pembroke in the December Quarter of 1914. Died 12 September 1943, killed by accident, aged 54. Buried in St Mary's churchyard.

D/ JX 155487 Able Seaman Henry Putt Brokenshire of the Royal Navy, HM Submarine Turbulent. Son of William and Winifred Brokenshire. Born in Brixham in the June Quarter of 1899. Died 14 March 1943 aged 44 when his ship was lost.

D/SSX 24239 Able Seaman Percy Roy Brown of the Royal Navy, HMS Gloucester. Son of William and Lily Brown of Brixham. Born in Edmonton, Middlesex in the December Quarter of 1919. Died 22 May 1941 aged 22 when his ship was lost.
J. M. BURMAN
John Harris Burman of the Royal Fleet Auxilliary, serving in the Merchant Navy SS Francol (London). Son of the late John and Florence Burman; husband of Margaret Burman of Plymouth. Born in Brixham in the June Quarter of 1901. Died 3 March 1942 aged 40. (His father was Master of SS Antonio and fell in 1917.)

T124 Fireman John William Clift of the Naval Auxilliary Personnel (Merchant Navy) HMS Saucy. Son of the late John Clift.  Born in Brixham in the December Quarter of 1903. Died 4 September 1940 aged 38 when his ship was lost. 
K. G. COATES
C/J 94731 Leading Seaman Kenneth Gordon Coates of the Royal Navy, HMS Medway. Son of Tom and Edith Coates of Brixham. Born in Wimbledon, Surrey 12 September 1903. Died 30 June 1942 aged 38. Twice mentioned in Despatches.

P/J 53167 Edward William Coleman of the Royal Navy, HMS Royal Oak. Son of William and Esther; husband of Dorothy Coleman. Born in Eastbourne, Sussex 25 August 1900.  Died 14 October 1939 aged 39.

1091721 Ordinary Seaman Thomas William Coysh of the Naval Auxiliary Personnel (Merchant Navy) HMS Saucy. Son of Thomas Coysh; father of Wilfred (see below). Born in Newton Abbot in the December Quarter of 1872. Died 4 September 1940 aged 68.

Wilfred Francis Coysh of the Naval Auxiliary Personnel (Merchant Navy) HMS Saucy. Son of Thomas (see above) and Annie Coysh of Brixham. Born in Brixham in the March Quarter of 1903. Died 4 September 1940 aged 37. 
S. W. E. CRANG
Sailor  Seymour William E. Crang of the Naval Auxiliary Personnel (Merchant Navy) HMS Saucy. Husband of Agnes Crang of Brixham. Born in Brixham in the September Quarter of 1914. Died 4 September 1940 aged 29.
W. H. CREESE
Bosun William Henry Creese of Rescue Tug, St Cyrus. Husband of Elizabeth Creese. Born in Brixham in the March Quarter of 1909. Died 22 January 1941 aged 32 when his ship was mined and sunk of the Humber River.
W. M. CUDD
T124 Sailor  William Herbert Cudd of the Naval Auxiliary Personnel  (Merchant Navy),  HMS Saucy. Born in Brixham in the March Quarter of 1913. Died 4 September 1940 aged 27.
A. G. DISNEY
Seaman (Arthur) Giles Disney of the Naval Auxiliary Personnel (Merchant Navy) Rescue Tug St. Cyrus. Son of William and Bessie Disney of Brixham. Born in Brixham in 1897.Died 22 January 1941 aged 44  when his ship was lost.
E. R. DUNN
DE/JX 335658 Able Seaman Ernest Roy Dunn of the Royal Navy, HMS President III.  Son of Frank and Florence Dunn of Brixham.   Born in Brixham in the June Quarter of 1923. Died 25 September 1942 aged 19.
H. R. EVANS
Lieutenant Harry Reginald Evans of the Royal Navy, HMS Foresight which played a vital role in the evacuation of the naval base in Malta.. Son of Henry and Mary Evans. Born in 1894.  Died 12 August 1942 aged 48 when his ship was torpedoed as   the Italian Air Force attacked the "Pedestal"  convoy.

Sailor  Sidney Foster of the Naval Auxiliary Personnel (Merchant Navy) HMS Saucy. Son of Jim and Susan Foster; husband of Dorothy Foster. Born in Liverpool in 1916. Died 4 September 1940 aged 26.

Fireman Stanley Edward Gardner of the Naval Auxiliary Personnel  (Merchant Navy),  HMS Saucy. Parents not yet identified. Born in Brixham in the September Quarter of 1914. Died 4 September 1940 aged 26.
E. C. GEORGE
D/JX 128803 Petty Officer Ernest Clifford of the Royal Navy, HMS Arbiter. Son of Tilley George; husband of Winifred George of Brixham.  Born in Gloucester in the June Quarter of 1911. Died 19 March 1944 aged 33 when he was lost overboard.
F. GLANVILLE
D/JX 139363 Able Seaman Frank Glanville of the Royal Navy, HMS Orpheus. Son of Joseph and Elizabeth Gl;anville. Born in Brixham in the December Quarter of 1912. Died 19 June 1942 when  his ship was lost aged 53.
H. F. GIFFORD
D/X 1914A Seaman Harry Friend Gifford of the Royal Naval Reserve, HMS Hector. Son of late Leading Seaman John Lloyd Jones Gifford and Susan Gifford (née Friend)  Born in Brixham in the December Quarter of 1912., Died 14 May 1940 aged 28 of natural causes.
