11611 Private William (George) Arscott of the 10th Battalion, the Devonshire Regiment. Son of Thomas Arscott of Netherton, Drewsteington. Born in Drewsteington in 1894. Died 29 January 1918 aged 24.
J.H.BRADSHAW
13747 Private James (Henry) Bradshaw of the 4th Battalion, the Coldstream Guards. Son of James and Emily Bradshaw of Ivy Cottage, Lifton. Born in Lifton in 1889. Died 23 August 1918 aged 30.
E.ELLIS
20837 Private Edwin Ellis of the 1st/5th Battalion, the West Yorks Regiment (the Prince of Wales' Own). Son of Edwin and Alice Ellis. Born in Dunsford in 1892. Died 25 April 1918 aged 26.
J.FRANCIS

14760 Lance Corporal James Francis of the 8th Battalion, the Devonshire Regiment.  Son of John and Susan Francis of Hittisleigh Mill. Born in Longdown in 1895. Died 2 April 1917 aged 22.

James was awarded the DCM. His citation reads:

"For conspicuous gallantry. During an enemy counterattack. he carried a wounded officer from an advanced position some 200 yards under heavy fire, and although wounded himself while doing so he persisted in his efforts until he had gained our trenches."

W.J.JORDAN
2804 Private (William) John Jordan of the 2nd/4th Battalion of the Devonshire Regiment. Son of William and Ellen Jordan. Born in Drewsteignton in the March Quarter of 1885. Died in India 12 May 1915 aged 30. Buried in the cemetery at St Thomas Mount. Madras.

10940 Private (John) Thomas Moore of the 5th battalion, the Royal Berkshire Regiment. Son of John and Emily Moore. Born in Moretonhampstead in 1899. Died 3 July 1916 aged 17.
W.R.SLOCOMBE
14842 Private (Richard) William Slocombe of the 9th battalion, the Devonshire Regiment.  Son of William and Susan Slocombe of Combe Hall, Drewsteignton. Born in Drewsteignton in 1895. Died 30 September 1915 aged 20.
G.R.SMITH
43058 Private George (Reginald) Smith of the 1st/5th Battalion, the South Lancs regiment. Son of John and Elizabeth Smith of Drewsteignton. Born in Drewsteignton in 1898. Died 10 April 1918 aged 22.
J.L.WHITE
39682 Private John (Lee) White of the 4th Battalion, the Worcester Regiment. Son of Mr. W.G.White of Tor Down, Drewsteignton. Born in Drewsteignton in 1891. Died 25 October 1916 aged 25.
