10545 Private Fred Baker of the 8th Battalion, the Devonshire Regiment. Son of Eli and the late Mary Ann Baker of Allways End. Born in East Anstey in 1894. Died 25 September 1915 aged 21.
A.G.CARTER
27161 Private Albert George Carter of the 7th Battalion, the Somerset Light Infantry Regiment. Son of George and Louisa Carter of East Anstey; husband of Emily Carter of Allways End. Born in East Anstey in 1892. Died 16 August 1917 aged 25.

Lieutenant William Reginald Hancock  ("Will") of the 16th (Royal North Devon Hussars) Battalion, the Devonshire Regiment. Son of Ernest and Caroline Hancock of "Rhyll", East Anstey. Born in Wellington, Somerset in 1897. Died 24 April 1917 aged 19. (originally posted as missing - he has no known grave.)

1499 Private William Frederick Hooper of the 14th Battalion, the third Welsh Regiment. Son of George and Elizabeth Hooper. Born in Oakford in 1884. Died 23 September 1918 aged 34.

38669 Private George Land of the 2nd/4th Battalion, the Loyal Lancashire Regiment; formerly 1614 the Royal North Devon Yeomanry. Son of the late John and Jessie Land. Born in Bampton in 1898. Died 8 September 1918 aged 20.

43741 Private Albert Ernest ("Bert") Mogford of the 1st Auckland Regiment, NZ. Son of Abraham and Charlotte Mogford of East Anstgey. Born in East Anstey in 1896. Died 22 July 1918 aged 22.
W.G.NICHOLLS
9707 Private William George Nicholls of the 5th Battalion, the Wiltshire Regiment. Son of Albert and Alice Nicholls of 6A Wingford Road, Brixton, London. Born in Somerset in 1893. Died 10 August 1915 aged 22.
J.SANGERS
WR/256736 Sapper John Sangers of the 275th Railway Coy, the Royal Engineers. Son of James and Jane Sangers of Allways End, East Anstey. Born in Dulverton, Somerset in 1891. Died 31 July 1919 aged 28.
A.R.SOAMES
Captain (formerly Major) Alfred Robert Soames of the 6th East Kent (Queen's Own) Regiment. Husband of Jane Soames. Born in Chillenden, Kent in the March Quarter of 1867. Died 22 July 1921 aged 54. He relinquished his commission due to ill health caused by his war wounds on 11 April 1920. His link with East Anstey is not known. He was awarded the DSO.
A.C.TRICKEY
45789 Private Albert Charles Trickey of the 1st Battalion, the Devonshire Regiment. Son of Albert and Mary Jane Trickey of Parkfield, East Anstey. Born in Wiveliscombe in the December Quarter of 1889. Died 1 September 1918 aged 29.
