Born in Woodbury in the December Quarter of 1900. Died in hospital at Amesbury, Wilts, 26 October 1918 aged 18. Buried in the churchyard at Littleham.

Educated at Blundells School, Tiverton. Died 27 October 1914 aged 23 - no known grave.    Mentioned in Despatches 17 February 1915 and 17 April 1915.
