CHILLATON is a hamlet, transferred to the parish of Marystowe for ecclesiastical purposes from that of Milton Abbot, by an Order in Council of October 10th 1919.

LEW DOWN, 3 miles north, is partly in this parish and partly in that of Thrushelton and Lew Trenchard.
