203327 Private Walter Abbott of the 4th (The Reserve) Battalion.  Son of Charles Abbott of Seaton Road, Musbury. Born in Shute in 1890. Died 7 July 1917 aged 27.
J.H.DIMOND
47030 Private John Henry Dimond of the 15th Battalion, the Lancashire Fusiliers. Son of William and Sarah Jane Dimond of Shute. Born in Shute in 1896. Died 8 April 1918 aged 22.
E.A.DIMOND
22166 Private Ernest Albert Dimond of the 1st Battalion, the Dorset Regiment.  Son of William and Sarah Jane Dimond; brother of John Dimond (see above). Born in Kilmington in 1896. Died 31 December 1917 aged 21.
J.G.WHITE
121030 Sapper John George White of "F" Coy, the 1st Reserve Battalion of the Royal Engineers. Son of Mark and Elizabeth White  of Myrtle Cottage, Shute. Born in Shute in 1877. Died 10 February 1916 at Chatham aged 40.
V.M.WHITE
51228 Private Victor Mark White of the 1st/5th Battalion, the Liverpool Regiment, formerly the Royal Army Service Corps. Son of Mark and Elizabeth White; brother of John (see above). Born in Shute in 1887. Died 23 September 1917 aged 30.
S.WEBBER
37623 Private Stuart Webber of the 3rd/7th (Cyclists) Battalion, the Devonshire Regiment. Son of Mary Webber. Born 21 May in 1898 in Exton. Died in Exeter 4 September 1916 aged 18.

Captain Harry Glasper of the Durham Light |infantry. Son of Thomas and Sarah Glasper; husband of of Kathleen Glasper of Seaton Junction, Devon. Born in 1914 in Bishop Auckland, Co, Durham. Died 14 April 1945 aged 31. Awarded the Military Cross.
